Chit Chatting [p.4]

Ðà Lạt
Saigon Internet
72D Bùi Thị Xuân
Popular with students and tourists. Saigon Internet is next to the Tigon Hotel, which offers 30 minutes free at Saigon Internet for their guests. Fast connection is reliable, printing services available, along with music of varying genres. Workers are friendly and knowledgeable, limited English, though. Rate: 3,000 VND/hour

Saigon 2000
75A Phù Ðổng Thiên Vương
The first place to get the other Internet places in Ðà Lạt going. They have a service desk and also sell computers and accessories. Mainly students and locals visit this place, though there tends to be more smokers here. Rate: 3,000 VND/hour

L & P Internet Service
78 Bùi Thị Xuân
Mainly students frequent the L & P, which is across from one of the high schools. A typical mom and pop kind of place. Truth be known, my uncle’s cousin owns the place so they are always nice to me and give me a decent deal. Connection is decent, though no web-cam for you chatters! Rate: 3,000 VND/hour

Sài Gòn
VNV Internet Service
24 Lê Thánh Tôn, District 1*
Tourists and locals doing business. Less chatting goes on here, while more use is for e-mailing, calling businesses overseas via the net-phone, or accessing basic Word programs. Air-conditioned, cold water and complimentary candy. Rate: 6,000 VND/hour

* If you are in District 1 and anywhere near the big hotels, make sure to ask for the rate ahead of time. Internet services around there range from 16,000-18,000 VND/hour, which is outrageous compared to the local going rate
